The Swan Corporate College international e-learning system provides a complete on-line service to support evidence based qualifications worldwide. Learners are assigned a tutor who will work with them to complete their qualification. The tutor will give the learner support and guidance in the type of evidence required to show competence and ability. The qualifications are made up of a number of units covering different topics. Learners are able to select units that most relate to their job role. The work is then verified by both internal and external verifiers before the final certificate is awarded.

Qualifcations available are:

• Management (ILM) Levels 2,3,4 and 5
• ITQ Levels 2 and 3
• Business and Administration Level 2
• Customer Service Level 2

Evidence can be any of the following:

• Personal Statements from the learner
• Witness Statements from managers or skilled colleagues
• Written question / answer activities
• e-mails – minutes from meetings or notes / briefings
• Observations by skilled colleagues or managers
• Voice recordings, pictures and video clips
• Discussions with the Assessor/Tutor over the phone
• Working documents used by the learner in their working role

The evidence submitted is held within a secure file to which only the relevant staff have access. The system keeps a full audit trail of all Assessor/Verifier inputs/comments, which can be used to demonstrate evidence of the assessor/learner interaction.

The e-portfolio requires an internet connection and is web-based. It is user friendly and no new software is needed.
The e-portfolio solution is endorsed by the UK's leading vocational awarding body, City & Guilds and is compatible with their process and quality requirements.
